Global Industrie 2026: What We Saw and What It Means for DFI in Europe

Being There Still Matters
We were in Paris from March 30 to April 2 for Global Industrie 2026. Not for generic scouting, but to understand how the European industrial market is moving regarding automation, embedded systems, and the supply chain. What we saw confirmed much of what we already knew about DFI and added a few elements worth sharing.
The atmosphere was different from previous editions
There wasn't the desire to explore that was seen a few years ago. Those attending the fair already had in mind what they were looking for. The procurement managers and system integrators we met brought very specific questions: lead times, product longevity, local technical support, and documentation for European compliance. They weren't looking for novelties; they were looking for reliability.
This is exactly the ground on which DFI can compete.
Where the DFI portfolio is directly relevant
In industrial automation and robotics, European system integrators are looking for embedded platforms with long lifecycles and high operating tolerances. DFI's industrial boards meet these requirements directly, without the need for special adaptations.
In edge computing, there is still a lot of demand to be met. Manufacturing companies are bringing intelligence directly to the production line, inside the machinery, near the control point. DFI's COM Express solutions and embedded box PCs fit into this scenario seamlessly.
In sectors such as energy, transportation, and heavy machinery, tolerance for non-certified hardware is practically zero. DFI products with extended temperature ranges and MIL certifications are immediately recognized by European engineers as serious solutions.
The problem is not the product
Let’s be clear: DFI technology is competitive. The real obstacle is market access and building initial trust.
European buyers are cautious, and for good reason. They have had experiences with Asian suppliers who were difficult to qualify, slow to respond, or unprepared regarding regulatory documentation. They are not less interested in working with Asia — they are more demanding about how a relationship begins.
This is where BridgeOn steps in concretely. We support European customers in navigating the DFI portfolio, comparing options, and receiving timely technical answers. We take care of presenting products with the correct documentary context from the very first contact (CE, RoHS, REACH). Above all, we manage the initial commercial cycle: from contact to negotiation, building the trust that turns interest into an order.
What we took home from Paris
We returned with qualified contacts and a more precise map of where the DFI portfolio resonates most in the European market. Follow-up is already underway.
Global Industrie 2026 confirmed a simple truth: the demand is there, the product is there. What is needed is someone to act as a bridge, and that is exactly our job.

Context
BridgeOn attended Global Industrie 2026 in Paris (March 30 – April 2) and observed first-hand the demand for embedded computing solutions in European industrial markets — a space where DFI's portfolio is directly relevant.
Key Challenges
- European buyers have trust deficits from past negative experiences with distant Asian suppliers
- Long supplier qualification cycles slow down purchasing decisions
- Language and cultural barriers limit relationship-building at trade events
- Regulatory complexity (CE, RoHS, REACH) creates friction for Asian market entrants
Opportunities
- Strong demand for reliable Asian suppliers in embedded systems, automation, and industrial components
- European reshoring trend is restructuring — not eliminating — Asian supply chains
- Companies with local European presence can command premium trust and faster onboarding
- Trade fairs offer direct access to decision-makers actively seeking new partnerships
Bridge On Perspective
DFI's embedded computing products are well-aligned with the needs of European industrial buyers. The gap is not technical—it is commercial and relational. BridgeOn's role is to bridge that gap through local presence, regulatory expertise, and sustained relationship management.
